A Diversion Post
I apologize for the diversion from Street Fashion. This gem landed in my lap with a story attached and I can't resist sharing. This is my boyfriend's lovely mother, Joan. She's making a plaster cast dress form OF HERSELF in order to sew herself clothes. This picture was taken by a 10 year old neighbor who rescued her after she attempted this madness at home ALONE and got her arms stuck. I love Joan, she's truly an adventurous spirit and a D.I.Y original.

KIDS.
Couldn't resist doing a Larry Clark (thanks Huzzah!) These Brooklyn kids are just hanging and skating as they do. Having dated a 'skater' for a time I was tempted to whisper in this girl's ear, "run"....ah kids today....

Matt...Church St Surplus store
I think someone tried to touch Matt's vintage blankets. I love this store, $5 vintage levi's. In NY.

Just love her glasses and shoes....these two lovelies are patiently waiting for brunch, what you can't see is the other 50 people behind me also waiting, and they are still smiling....

Love......in McCarren Park.
Love literally is very beautiful. No idea of names I was temporarily blinded by perfect
youthful porcelain skin.
Shareen......Manhattan Ave
It's not a 'vintage' outfit but I admire a girl who can wear red sunglasses, a bright pink dress and yellow birkenstocks (on a pink bike).....and look great!

The ladies....of Babycakes.
These are the lovely ladies of Babycakes, a dangerous but delicious place on Manhattan's Lower East Side full of pretty vintage trinkets. Those headscarves and loose ties, adorable! (p.s. this week a new camera beckons, iphones only good for texting and talking....)
