Raw Silk and a Wild Boar
I just learned about raw silk, never knew what it was, but I love it! scored this skirt in a recent vintage buy and it's like wearing cut offs, but the skirt version, comfy! This little boar charm I got in Paris from a lovely girl who makes them by hand on a Greek Island, I kind of wanted to be her. I bought it because I had just been royally dumped (a few good years ago now) and I must have been thinking about pigs a lot. Now I just love it and smile a bit when I think about why I bought it.....

At work...
This is where I am today, my little 'vintage room', catching up on photos, steaming dresses and what have you....this cat was painted by my Dad, my sister and I found it shortly after he passed away, he'd painted it for his cat loving second wife, before he met her he loathed cats but when we were cleaning out his place we found all manner of cat mugs, magnets etc (after she left he bought 2 dogs)......so anyway, now it keeps me company in my 'vintage room'. Hope you are all having a good Saturday!

Glasses Envy
This is Bridget, love her glasses and the whole shebang! Now you may be wondering why her feet are below this text...let's put it down to fuzziness in the full length picture, my 'on the spot' photography needs work...but my intentions are good! Thanks for looking fab on a Saturday afternoon Bridget.

Cutie Patootie.
Snapped this lace-mini-wearing cutie outside a closing-down vintage store today, (I didn't buy anything, such great restraint!).

A crop but not...
There's a few things I don't do anymore, wearing crop tops is one of them....but I had to keep this one because frankly it's odd and cool! Plus the dip in the front and back makes me feel not so exposed....jeans and belt thrifted, red woven shoes a (very well received) gift!

Project restoration!
Like most vintage sellers I always have a few restoration projects on the go, usually not to sell just to keep. This gorgeous Edwardian lace dress at the top fits perfectly so if I can just find a skilled person to mend the lace I'll be set! The middle dress is a 1970's Betsey Johnson which I scored for a song due to it's 'issues' including this huge gaping tear at the shoulder....but I couldn't leave it behind! The last lovely thing is sadly a very dull gray, I have plans to dye it a wonderful deep blue and find some very smart buttons for those sweet loops....it has such great lace and embroidery that I thought would look great dyed, any recommendations on these repairs and restorations gratefully received!

it's 1934...
I was blown away recently when the mister's lovely Mum offered me her mother's wedding dress for the big day. Check it out, the condition! Picture above taken in 1934. Sadly we are not doing the 'wedding thing' as such and this dress deserves a far grander event, however, we have made firm plans to have a little dress up in it next time we visit (me, not the mister)...if I had known about this dress sooner I might just have planned a 'proper' wedding around it, ok maybe not, I am having an anxiety attack with 2 forms and a 10 minute ceremony downtown....but that little bonnet! Thank you Joan, can't wait to see it in person....
