If you are fellow working-from-home person I'm wondering when you feel most on fire? This summer has kicked my butt and I find after 2pm I can't do anything of much note....luckily I am up at 6.30-7 and I love it, house is super quiet, my red coffee pot is waiting and it's cool enough on the terrace to obsess about our vegetables and eat pancakes without wanting to rip my clothes off and dive into the nearest puddle. This is what the Friday morning looked like for me, I even got dressed for you in a VERY distressed 1940s dress (holes all over), little book shelf tidying, little organizing for the market tomorrow....now it's time for second breakfast....have a great weekend all!
Amy.

I love cheery little posts about people's mornings and this one is no exception! I want to reach into the screen and nom those pancakes... and try on all those pretty, pretty dresses.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, these pics are so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI'm def a morning worker. By 2pm I need coffee and a movie break. Then sometimes I go back to work ;)
Oh how I love the little peaks into your life! Great photos and those pancakes look yummie!
ReplyDeletelove it all...thanks for the peek inside!
ReplyDeleteI'm a morning person too but lately it's been too cold to get out of bed so I've been sleeping in a little later than usual.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to know what's in your NZ cooking book!
Oh sweet it is the hardest thing when you work from home!!!! Getting out of bed.
ReplyDeleteI love your wee dress. Very distressed is the perfect vintage love. So comfortable.
Love v
You are the cutest, A! I wish I were a morning person...I'm a grumpy morning person. Andy is a happy morning person, and he is also a "second breakfast"-er, too! (I love your coffee pot and mug.)
ReplyDeleteI am just like you - a morning person. Love to drink my first coffee and listens to the birds outside my window. Its peaceful and quite! In the afternoon I can get restless and don´t have the same discipline. Sometimes it's tricky to work from home, but I enjoy being my own boss!
ReplyDeletelove these pics from around your place, Amy. I feel like I used to be so motivated in the early mornings, but that was when Lukas was in school and I HAD to get up early. Now these sunny warm mornings have me sleeping in till 10 sometimes (bad girl). I miss the quiet of those days tho, and should try to get back in the habit of setting my alarm to 6 again. p.s that little rooster mug is way cute!
ReplyDeleteMan I want to dive into that dress rack! How did your weekend hunting go?
ReplyDeleteI would give anything to be a morning person. I get up at the crack of 10:30am on a good day ;)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I do my best work between 4:00 and midnight.
I often feel that I am wasting away the gorgeous summer mornings but then again I have been enjoying many lovely summer (late) nights.
great post, thanx! :)
