When Vintage becomes Salvage.
I couldn't leave this 20s dress behind on a recent shopping trip...the chiffon is torn and tattered around the hem and about 7" above the hem...plus a couple of less major holes below the waist...once I steamed it I realized it can actually be salvaged! the slip underneath is super sweet (scalloped edge) so I will have the dress hemmed as *little* as possible and the tiny tears repaired...and it shall be my outfit for August 18th and 19th on Governors Island for the next Lawn Party! Kinda perfect as my tummy should be about double the size by then!
