Golden Good Luck Needlepoint / 1920s

Incredibly beautiful shimmering needlepoint by Mildred Simon who sadly lived a very short life from 1911 to 1930, assuming this was completed in the mid to late 1920s. A note taped to the rear gives more information about the intention -a pillow topper - of the piece. Framed in 1973. Very skilled work and attention to detail and still extremely vibrant in metallic color, the green of the foliage really is lovely. 

condition: great, a little foxing on the backing, not major.
